Trademarks

A trademark is a word phrase or logo that has a particular meaning in association with a business’ goods or services. Note: “service mark” is the technical name for a “trademark” when it’s applied to services rather than goods. Trademark, while technically for goods, is commonly used to describe both.

If your company has a name, advertising slogan, or logo it wants to protect from being used by other similar companies (and thus creating a potential confusion with customers), a trademark is the right place to start.
